Essex Crystal. The Top Portion of the Mushroom Shaped Handle is Inlaid with an
Essex Crystal which Contains a Three Dimensional Scene of a Bird and Tree. The
Top with the Crystal Unlatches to Reveal a Mirror on its Underside. The Bottom
Portion of the Handle is Hallmarked and Stamped Geffroy, Paris, Snake Wood Shaft
(missing ferrule ), French, Late 19th C., 32"L.
(Essex Crystals were made by hollowing out the
underside of the crystal then painting life-like subjects, mainly birds and
